About Us

Ogden's Coaches is a family business, owned and operated by Edmond Charles Ogden and Faye Ogden and their daughter Mandi Toynton and their sons Tony and Peter Ogden.

Edmond Charles Ogden has held a Certificate of Transport Management since July 1993. Over the past 20 years he has been Chairman of the Orana Branch of the Bus and Coach Association and he is also on the Executive of the NSW Bus and Coach Association. In January 2001 he was elected Country Vice President of BCA NSW and to date still holds this position.

Tony Ogden and Mandi Toynton completed the Certificate of Transport Management in July 1997 and Peter Ogden completed his in December 2004. Tony has been involved with school buses and coaches for the past 22 years, Mandi for the past 15 years and Peter for the last 6 years.

Ogden's Coaches operate 30 Non-Commercial Contracts in Western NSW and 1 Commercial Contract in the township of Mudgee. We also have charter coaches.

As from 1st November 2004 our company was awarded the Baradine-Coonarbarabran-Lithgow CountryLink Contract which is operated out of our Mudgee Depot and in 2005 we obtained the temporary contract for the Oberon to Mt Victoria service.

We employ (2) two qualified diesel mechanics to service and look after our fleet of buses and coaches as well as the appropriate general hands.

We have fully equipped workshops in both Mudgee and Wellington and a mobile workshop in Dubbo to service our vehicles. Our mechanics regularly attend maintenance conferences, bus shows and training seminars to keep up with the latest trends.

We have and operate bus and coach services which range in capacity from 14 - 61 seats.

Edmond, Tony and Peter also operate Ogden's Driving School and are qualified and licensed Driving Instructors for cars and heavy vehicles. They are also RTA Accredited Heavy Vehicle Assessors.

Edmond and Tony have also been Transport NSW Driver Authority Trainers since 1991 and Peter since 2004 and have trained between them in excess of 3000 new bus and coach drivers.

All drivers in our business have to hold a current Transport NSW Driver Authority and current RTA Drivers License for the size of vehicle that they drive. They are checked on a regular basis to comply with transport NSW requirements.

We also conduct Driver Awareness days within our company. We take our drivers out in groups of no more than 4 and assess and discuss all aspects of their driving and have a general update regarding road rules and their applications.

We circulate updates of the Passenger Transport Act by way of copies in Accreditation Bulletins to all drivers.
